Chapter 4, lesson 2 Once upon a time, in the middle of a mysterious forest, lived a small-sized goblin. He had a long nose and a curly red beard. His ears were pointed and his eyes were green. Green like the jacket he wore every night whether it was hot or cold, and whether it rained or snowed. He dwelt in a house that did not look like a house. Indeed, his house was shaped like the trunk of a tree. But people never knew for sure because they never saw it. The pointed-eared goblin would sleep all day in his trunk and he would venture out in the woods only when the sun was set and the moon high in the sky. And what would that green-eyed, long-nosed and red-bearded goblin do every night? The answer is a very strange one, and you are going to be quite surprised. Well, Pot… now I realize I have not told you his name. The small goblin had an extremely funny name since he was called Potato. He suffered many jokes from his friends who nevertheless appreciated him very much. Every night, the curiously-named goblin would meet his friends and … dance. I have never had the pleasure to witness such an event, but it would have been wonderful to see all the happy-faced, short-legged goblins dance in circles before they hid their gold in the neighbouring fields.
