We propose to study the cognitive distribution of the workload in a collaborative configuration. A distributed platform for the molecular deformation has been developed to study the closely coupled collaboration. Three experimental studies confirm the pertinence of the collaborative configuration for closely coupled collaboration. However, we observe coordination and communication conflicts. Based on these results, we developed tools to assist the collaboration through haptic communication. A last experimentation with bio-informaticians showed the gain of efficiency with the help of these haptic communication tools.
