CANCAP II Notice Update February 2012 CANCAP II represents a follow-on requirement from the current CANCAP Task Authorization based contract and is expected to continue delivering a contractor augmentation capability to support deployed operations, with an increased scope to include Explosive Ordnance Disposal, Airfield and Aircraft Services, Mortuary Services, and Security Services. Other service areas include: Food Services, Materiel Management and Distribution, Communication and Information Systems, Land Equipment Maintenance, Transportation, Accommodations Management and Support, Construction Engineering, Power Supply and Distribution, Water Supply and Distribution, Waste Management, Facilities Operation and Maintenance, Roads and Grounds, Fire Protection Services, Geomatics Support, and Environmental Services. Further to the project RFI release and industry consultations, we are providing the updated status, terms of reference for the consultative process and schedule as follows: Milestone Draft RFP Release Draft RFP Consultative Process RFP Release Bidding Period Bid Evaluation Government Approvals Contract Award

CONSULTATIVE PROCESS Canada will conduct a Consultative Process with industry after the draft RFP is published on MERX. This process will consist of an Industry Information Session, followed by one-on-one Industry Meetings and Working Group sessions if further consultation is desirable. To participate in one-on-one meetings and Working Group sessions, Industry must sign and agree to the Industry Engagement Terms of Reference which will be published on MERX prior to the Industry Information Session. Prior to the Industry Information Session and One-on-One Industry Meetings participants will also be requested to provide comments and recommendations on specific issues. Following the one-on-one Industry Meetings, Canada will conduct Working Group sessions to review outstanding issues and the applicable solicitation documents. This process will engage potential bidders in the reshaping of the final Request for Proposal.

Industry Information Session: The purpose of the Industry Information Session is to provide industry and other interested parties "participants" with general information on the CANCAP II procurement project, the consultative process and the Terms of Reference. One-on-One Industry Meetings: Canada will meet with participants to listen to their concerns, recommendations and solutions. Canada will analyze industry input and revise the applicable solicitation document(s), if applicable. Working Group sessions: At the discretion of Canada, Industry will be invited to Working Group sessions to discuss specific issues identified during the Industry Information Session and One-on-One Industry Meetings. Canada will provide copies of the applicable solicitation document(s) in advance of the meeting which have been revised to address industry recommendations. Canada will finalize the solicitation document(s) following these meetings. A revised draft-RFP will be available to all participants for a final review before the official RFP is published on MERX.
