CAE Engineer in noise and vibration In this function, you are responsible for simulation activities for the prediction of the vibration/acoustic performances of automotive insulation treatments. Furthermore, you perform simulations for vehicles and components design/optimization, develop engineering proposals for Autoneum products and discuss those and further engineering potentials with the customer. You also take an active role in proposing, promoting and developing simulation methodologies for noise and vibration treatments based on commercial software and/or Autoneum internal tools. The position requires a university degree (in Physics or Mechanical Engineering). Ideally you have a good knowledge in theory of mechanical vibration, sound waves, and interaction wave/structures and you are acquainted with simulation methods for noise and vibration and/or acoustics (like Finite Element methods or SEA analysis). Working in a networked CAD environment, the professional use of LINUX, MS-Windows and MS-Office applications are part of your daily routine. Knowledge of one or more of the following CAE programs is a strong plus: Matlab, MSC Nastran, VAOne, Radioss, NX. Practical knowhow of the prevalent pre and postprocessors such as Hypermesh complete your professional spectrum. You are a flexible, proactive person and an excellent team player. Fluency in English is a must, while basic knowledge of German would be nice but is not essential.
