Pratiques de pointe / Leading Practices Les thématiques suivantes font l’objet d’une surveillance particulière visant à alimenter la réflexion des équipes des pratiques de pointe du CAU en gérontologie sociale œuvrant auprès ou avec des personnes âgées. We monitor the scientific literature related to the following leading practices in order to support the Maltraitance des personnes âgées, âgisme / Mistreatment of Olders Adults, Ageism Articles portant sur la maltraitance touchant les personnes âgées, quelle que soit sa forme (violence ou négligence). Incluant la maltraitance physique, sexuelle, psychologique ou financière, la violation des droits et l’âgisme. Santé mentale / Mental Health Cette section est consacrée aux articles en lien avec les personnes âgées souffrant de problèmes de santé mentale (Dépression majeure, schizophrénie, etc). Sont cités seulement occasionnellement des articles portant sur les personnes atteintes de démence (maladies neurodégénératives au sens du DSM V comme la maladie d’Alzheimer, etc.). Sont retenues plus particulièrement les études réalisées dans la communauté. Selected articles focus on seniors suffering from mental health issues (major depression, schizophrenia, etc.). Most of the studies are carried out in the community. Only occasionally do we select articles on people affected by dementia (neurodegenerative diseases as defined by the DSM V, such as Alzheimer’s, etc.). 
