This car was listed to be in the auction at the Aston Martin Sale at Newport Pagnel Yesterday, Saturday 17th May, But I withdrew the lot as another lot I had contracted to be sold at the same auction was withdrawn by the auctioneers, but the lot is still for sale . As you must be well aware, This car was the personnel property of William Towns, the designer of the car, and others of the Aston Martin range. The Car has been stored for the last 6 years, and is in need of some TLC. This car will need renovating, needing some of the floor, sills and boot pan welded, but being the personal property of William Towns, once renovated, this would be the most valuable Lagonda of the type. It does have a stainless steel exhaust system that cost over £4,000 just befor the car was stored and it still looks like new. I have spoken too the DVLA and they have told me that the original Reg. number.. BTM 781T which was the Registration number when Bill Towns owned the car is still avaliable to the vehical if applied for, But that would be a matter for the new owner to confirm and sort out! With the car comes the letter from Aston Martin Heritage Trust, stating that this was the property of William Towns, and that Aston Martin were strapped for cash at this time so they gave this car to William Towns in lieu of his fees. The car can be viewed in Epping with prior arrangement. I have listed the car with no reserve and a low starting price. Just the engine and gearbox is worth more than the starting price!!
