Oral Recap (discuss in pairs, compare notes, recap altogether)

3. Written Comprehension (TICE : extraction of texts from internet) Text 1: Voice is power Text 2: Deconstructing Power Text 3: I have a voice

Activities: anticipate the titles Group work: 3 groups work on the same texts a) Read and find out info about the usage of voice in regards to power (Text 1) b) Find out the negative and positive aspects of power (Text 2) c) Find out from the text how voice can be used assertively to achieve a goal. (Text 3) Be ready to report to the class. Say to what extent these documents are related to the notion: ‘Forms and Locations of Power’ Homework: Write a written summary on one of the texts, explaining the way in which power and voice are used within the context of the text

4. Interview. (TICE : use of balladeur) Work in pairs, one is a journalist, the other is a person in power. Record your interviews on the use of their voice when addressing the nation and when solving people’s problems.
