Appendix XIV Printer Translation Table A facility is provided whereby special characters which may appear on the screen and which are supported by the AMSTRAD DMP-1, will be printed even though the character codes for the screen and printer may be different. The majority of these symbols will only be available when the printer is switched to one of its foreign language modes. For example, if a circumflex is to be printed then the character code for the screen would be &A0 but on the printer it is &5E, if an &AO was sent to the printer it would be translated into a &5E thus printing a circumflex. The following table shows all the default translation codes: character #A0 #A1 #A2 #A3 #A6 #AB #AC #AD #AE #AF
