The Word name Arōr (wooden plough) in the Armenian Medieval Literature

In the Armenian language there are notes (facts) about the usage of the word name wooden plough in the Armenian literature of the 5th century. New Dictionary of the Armenian Language /NHBL/ and Armenian Etymological Dictionary /HAB/ give examples from the Bible, Seberianos, Voskeberan, Barsegh Kesaraci. The word was also found in the other translations of the golden age of Voskeberan that NHBL and HAB didn’t give examples.The word name was also mentioned in the Armenian literature and translations since 5th centuary and NHBL give examples from Narekaci, Sargis vardapet, Grigor Skevraci, Vardan Arevelci, Hovhannes Erznkaci. There were found other several notes that were not given as examples. In the Armenian literature and translations there are also mentioned compound words formed with the root wooden plough /aror/ and a number of words derived with the affixes such as arōravar, krknarōr and so on. In the report a. there are given all the sources according to the used period (either mentioned in the future dictionaries or the ones that we have found), b. the regional description of the usage of that words are given It is interesting that in the Armenian literature most of that words are used in the figurative meaning which are also studied in the report. In the end some point of views are introduced concerning the word arōranal/harōranal that we come across twice in the Armenian literature.
