“I’m a keeno” 1. Overview The scene takes place in a school : we can hear a bell ring + canteen. A student is speaking and the other students called gave him a nickname : “keeno”. 2. Zoom in a. How is the narrator ? The narrator is smart, tidy, hard-working, wimp and teacher’s pet.

There are downsides to being a Keeno though.  The underlined word means inconvénients I’ve been teased for it.  The underlined word means taquiné. d. What does the keeno do ? Recently, the narrator had a really good history lesson. After the lesson, he thanked the teacher. In the canteen, he was teased. If the narrator don’t want to be called a keeno, he should wear trainers, untuck his shirt and annoy his teachers. e. The narrator’s feelings I think it’s pathetic to be honest : that you have to annoy the teachers just to fit in. I used to get upset about being a keeno but now, I take it as a compliment. After all, if people are going to tease me for working hard, why get to worked up about it. I feel sorry for them. f.

Concerning his look, he’s elegant and smart (he’s not scruffy) because his shirt is tucked in neatly, his trousers fit him to perfection and his hair is done to perfection. Concerning his personality, he’s tidy (he’s not messy), he’s hardworking (he’s not lazy). On the downside, he’s a wimp (he’s not courageous).

Attitude of his classmates with him

They make fun of him and they laugh at him. To be accepted by his classmates, he should wear trainers instead of wearing shoes. He should annoy his teachers instead of respecting them. En ce qui concerne ton apparence, tu es vraiment élégant  Concerning your look, you’re really elegant. Je le plains vraiment, personne ne l’aime  I feel sorry for him, nobody likes him. C’est lamentable, il faut embêter ses professeurs pour se faire une place  It’s pathetic, you should annoy your teachers to be accepted by your classmates.
