Hi Sue, I hope that you had a good weekend. Many thanks for coming back with clarification on the rest of the 3D pension scheme members. We are still trying to bottom out the issues with this. In relation to the change from gross contributions to relief at source, from September 2016, we are having trouble identifying this through the pension contribution and pay-slips. Below is the final pay-slip for one of the Members for 15/16, which shows the pensions contributions as gross contributions coming off gross pay. When we looked at the same pay-slip for 16/17, this seems to be on the same basis as the previous one. Where would we be able to see the effect of the switch to relief at source basis from September 2016? Any clarifications on this would be much appreciated. Many thanks, Tanya

To: Tanya Perrett Cc: 'Maria' Subject: RE: 3D Pattern & Mould Makers Ltd - Pension Contributions Importance: High Hi Tanya, Thank you for your email. I have been advised that, with the exception of Michael Laxton and Terry Albone, all members of the scheme have paid pension contributions as follows: • •

Up to and including the week ended 26th August 2016 – the net pay method (gross contributions) With effect from the week ended 2nd September 2016 – Relief at source (net contributions have been deducted from net pay)

Michael Laxton and Terry Albone’s contributions have been paid using the net pay method (gross contributions) throughout the 2016/17 tax year. There has been no change in the above payment basis for the current, 2017/18, tax year. Kind regards,

Hi Sue, Just coming back to you after our call yesterday, I have looked at the pension scheme and, subject to speaking to Aegon which I have not had a chance to do as yet, I am sure that the scheme uses the net pay method (gross contributions) for pension contributions, rather than relief at source. I have looked at the three members that you gave to me yesterday, and I cannot see any reason why they would differ to the other members, for 16/17 ( I know that one is split year). There are 30 members of the scheme in total – as discussed yesterday, could you please have a look at the basis for the rest, so that we can try to see if there is any reason why the three members highlighted have been treated differently? Many thanks, Tanya

Kind regards, Tanya From: Maria [mailto:[email protected]] Sent: 22 August 2017 11:15 To: Tanya Perrett Subject: 3D Pattern & Mould Makers Ltd - Pension Contributions Tanya, Would you please call Sue from Cound & Co and your earliest convenience (Tel 01509 214163) regarding our pensions. It appears Quickbooks has changed how it calculated the pension contributions back in August and she needs to discuss this with you (unfortunately I don’t know the answers). She is on annual leave Thursday and Friday and I’m on annual leave tomorrow. Your assistance in this matter would be greatly appreciated. Regards 4
