Thanks to its location of crossroad on the maritime and river roads, Harfleur is prosperous since the Gallo-Roman era. Port of Rouen and Royal City in the 13th century, Harfleur became a sovereign harbour of Normandy and gave birth to « le Havre » after the silting of its port in the 16th century. Its pedestrian streets, its heritage, its large park and the windings of « la Lézarde » wich run into his heart, give the city a picturesque touch.

New map Scale : 1/10000 et Equidistance : 5m Tourism : Once modest fishing village, Etretat became a seaside resort on the coast of the English channel. The amazing and monumental look of its almost immaculate white chalk cliffs and beaches of greyish pebbles ,makes of it an international tourism place. Painters like Gustave Courbet, Claude Monet or Eugène Boudin contributed much to its advertising, in immortalising the specificity. Writers like Gustave Flaubert and Guy de Maupassant, were followers of the place while Maurice Leblanc, who lived there, contributed to the myth surrounding the site in Arsène Lupin adventure titled « l’Aiguille creuse ». Three successive arches: the upstream door, the downstream door and the Manneporte, and a needle can be seen.

Map : « Montivilliers centre » updated and extended Scale : 1/5000 et Equidistance : 2.5m Tourism : Montivilliers owes its prosperity and its reputation to its prestigious Women Abbey established in 684 by St Philibert. Montivilliers has the particularity to be crossed by a river : « la Lézarde » which is included in the old medieval center, bounded by walls, and the suburbs expanded in the 19th century along the roads at the town entrance. « L’aître de Brisgaret » dating from the XVth century, built to deal with epidemics has been classified as Historical Monuments in 1886 and restored in 2013-2014. The inner wall of the gallery presents a unique painting of the sixteenth century. The calvary, melted in a greenery nest, overlooks the whole city and offers a wonderful panorama from where the spectator can observe the old neighbourhoods of Montivilliers, but also the outlying areas who settled in the twentieth century. It was erected to pay tribute to the victims of the second world war while thanking to have protected the city of bombing. 10
