READ ALL INSTRUCTIONS BEFORE BEGINNING INSTALLATION
1. Remove end cap (if your system has them). End caps are typically held on by two 1/4 inch bolts located on the bottom side of the muffler body. Remove two bolts and retain hardware for later use. 2. Once the end cap has been removed, the baffle needs to be removed. Extreme care must be taken at this point. The baffles are made of light gauge material and can become distorted if not properly removed. Remove any fasteners that remain holding each baffle in place (usually two 1/4 -20 bolts). The inlets have also been reduced to prevent a rattle. The best way is to use a slide hammer with an expanding end or axle bearing removal fingers. 3. Upon removal of the baffle you will notice a hole located near (approx. 1.65” from end) the outlet end of the baffle. If you have an earlier baffle there may not be a hole in which case refer to illustration for hole location. 4. If your baffle is not pre-drilled, mark hole location 1.65” from the outlet end. Drill a 5/16” hole through baffle core. There is no rotational orientation needed for the insert - the hole can be anywhere 1.65” from end.
